Robot Framework support for Visual Studio Code and more. This release adds a wrapper option to run tests inside a custom environment of your choosing (services, mocks, a graphical session), from the command line and editor alike.

  • Running a subset of tests from the VS Code Test Explorer works cleanly again on RF 6.1+

📝 What's new

Browser library 20.3.0

Playwright-based browser automation library for Robot Framework. This release updates the BrowserBatteries Node.js version. Supports Python 3.10+, Node 22/24/26, and RF 6.1+, tested with Playwright 1.62.1.

📝 Release notes · Previous releases: 20.2.0, 20.1.0

Medusa 3.4.0

A tool to parallelize execution of Robot Framework test suites, using suite metadata to avoid resource conflicts.

  • New medusa:retry feature re-executes flaky suites automatically on failure
  • Suite results (pass/fail/error) are now tracked and stored in the visualization
  • medusa:for suite naming is now a stable hash instead of random, so results are trackable over time with tools like RobotDashboard
  • Faster CLI thanks to optimized imports

Awesome Robot Framework: new additions

The community-curated Awesome Robot Framework list got several new entries:

  • OKW API REST: keyword-driven REST API testing with a phase-based workflow.
  • WebDialogs: browser-based dialogs and custom forms for human-in-the-loop test executions.
