The Foundation is opening its 2027 Board search, and there's funding on the table for ecosystem projects.

Robot Framework Foundation Board — Call for 2027 candidates

Did you know the Robot Framework Foundation is a non-profit Association? Behind Robot Framework stands a volunteer Board of Directors that sets direction, shapes the roadmap together with the core team, and keeps the Foundation running for the long term.

We're looking for Board members for 2027. Candidates from member companies are welcome, but there's no strict requirement. If you're passionate about Robot Framework and want to help steer the project, apply regardless of affiliation. A few special roles are also open: Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, and Secretary. Apply for one of those, or as a general Board member.

To apply, send us by November 2nd, 2026: a recent photo of yourself, and a short introduction covering your background, your motivation for joining the Board, what you'd bring, and (if applicable) which special role you're applying for.

Funding for Ecosystem Projects

Have a creative idea for improving the Robot Framework ecosystem, or an existing project that could use some maintenance and support? The Foundation is looking to fund ecosystem projects this fall, with €1,500–€7,500 available per project.

Robot Framework 7.5

A new feature release with major enhancements to the library documentation tool Libdoc, support for test/task metadata, enhanced console logging configuration, official Python 3.15 support, and several other enhancements and bug fixes.

RobotDashboard 2.2.0

An output processor and dashboard generator for Robot Framework results. This release brings dashboard layout management, custom link widgets, tag-scoped output retention, and a listener that now ships inside the package with no extra dependencies.

• Move graphs, stat widgets, link widgets, and custom sections around without dragging, plus a "Multiple" tab for adding several stat widgets at once
• New custom link widgets to jump straight to external resources (CI pipelines, wikis, dashboards) from your dashboard
• Tag-scoped output removal, so housekeeping rules can target specific tags instead of pruning the whole database
• Listener now ships inside the package with no separate file to download, and dropped its external dependency
